All we need to do know if finish those darn graduate papers. Although worth it, it sure was a long hull. In case you are wondering Rodd and I were both in a program called "Performance and Training Technology." We are both glad we decided to go for the same degree as it made books less expensive and we were able to help each other out throughout the program (and it's always fun to sit next to your best friend in class!), but it sure took a lot out of us. So now you're probably wondering what Performance and Training Technology is and what would you do with a degree like that. Well basically it's using technology to educate others. We can use this degree in the corporate world and train employees at companies, either for one company or as a consultant and for different companies. We can also teach at the college level with this degree (with a couple additional classes). And of course, there are many other things we could do, but that is the basic goal of the department.

In May, Rodd began working full time as a computer technician for the College of Education. He began this job as a student worker when he was a freshman and when he decided to go to graduate school the job became available part-time. We are very excited and I am very proud of all Rodd's hard work these last two years.

In May, I was officially out of a job (or three should I say). I am currently looking for jobs in the Cedar Falls area and am very excited to begin that new chapter of my life. Hopefully by the next time this is updated I'll be able to say I have a job. Keep your fingers crossed!

AND we've also purchased our first home! We are very excited about this and can't wait to move in in August. It needs a lot of work and updating, but we're looking forward to the challenge and having projects to work on - I LOVE having projects to work on :). We'll post pictures of the house in August.

Thanks for checking in with us.
